After meeting in September and October, much is ‘in progress’. We are looking to strengthen our congregational connection with the Boston Ujima Project as it strives to create an equitable economy; Sheila is our liaison with that organization. Thanks to Kris’ interest in voting rights, we are exploring UUA Side With Love as a means to tap into efforts that are already organized. With Marge coordinating, the team is looking forward to leading a Sunday morning service in February, around the topic of reparations. Kim’s interest in a group read of Layla Saad’s book Me and White Supremacy prompted exploration of a specific group-process model that gives equal weight to all voices present.
