We live in times of crisis. There is so much to be outraged about and so many things that feel like, and very well might be, emergencies. In these moments, we risk freezing and doing nothing. We also risk trying to fashion ourselves into heroes or saviors, swooping into situations we could not fully understand. When the stakes are so high, how can we make thoughtful decisions about what to do in the midst of crisis? How do we look for what is emerging below the emergency?
