Ingathering & Water Communion: An Abiding Confluence

Led by Rev. Misty-Dawn Shelly

As we begin a new congregational year by mingling our various contributions of water, all are invited to bring a sampling of water from a sacred place. This could be from the ocean, a river, from the rain barrel, and even the faucet in your home. In this all ages service, we rededicate ourselves to practicing the shared values of Unitarian Universalism and affirm our shared ministry. Rev. Shelly will lead our worship service. Her homily is titled An Abiding Confluence inspired by a reflection on attention by Mary Oliver.

Rev Misty-Dawn Shelly began her ministry with UUCSW September 2024 as our contract minister. She has served congregations in Massachusetts and Indiana. She lives in Worcester with her spouse, Jenna and their dog, Bentley.

Rev. Misty-Dawn believes that in the act of sharing our stories with each other and deepening our relationships through shared experiences, we cultivate the sacred in our lives.
