Inviting Our True Attention: The Spiritual Practice of Radical Hospitality

Led by Rev. Misty-Dawn Shelly

What we pay attention to shapes who we become. Drawing on the story of Abraham’s open tent and the Jewish tradition of welcoming the stranger, this service explores attention as a spiritual practice that prepares us to meet one another with courage and compassion. As we deepen our awareness of immigration justice and our community partners, we reflect on how paying attention can open the way to radical hospitality and faithful accompaniment.
