Summer Services at UUCSW continue on Sunday, July 14th at 9:30 am in the Chapel. UUCSW Member Lisa Borchetta will be speaking about “Creating Intentional Community.” As social creatures, we live in community – even if we don’t participate very actively in them. In this service on “Creating Intentional Community” we’ll take a look at our role in this process and consider what a community of our choice might be like as we ponder questions like: What is your ideal community? Who lives there? What needs does it meet? Would the community that met your needs at age 30 still do so when you’re 70? What are the essential resources and elements there? And what are the downsides of creating a community by intention, does anyone get left out? Come commune with us.
